Today's Courthouse
Lady Justice sat atop the old courthouse. Not
blind justice, but eyes bright and open. Today
Lady Justice can be found in the lobby of The
Truman Wesley Collins Legal Center
(Willamette University College of Law)
Today's courthouse was renovated in 2006
after being closed for over half a year after a
member of our community drove his truck
through the front doors and set fires throughout
the basement. During the closure judges and
their staff held court throughout the community
including the state capitol, firehalls, and other
locations throughout Salem.
